I could go down the philosophical rabbit hole of Women and the beginning of time but I digress. Instead I thought of adding in these wonderful photos found via unsplash.com. The photos were selected based on everyday living; periods, self-care, empowerment, confidence and unity.
let's bring out the ruler
I came across this wonderful font called New York on Behance and had to experiment with it. It's delicate balance of weights made it a perfect example of high fashion. Pairing it with something as fluid as the Google font called Fuggles was a no brainer. The visual direction was driven more by the large visuals. I wanted them to stand out on their own without the need to convey much thus the idea of opting for muted font tones.
One way to think about grid system when you are first starting is, play around! You will be surprised how many fun layouts can be developed
I always try to find a balance visually when laying down the user experience. Having your grids setup to the common screen can greatly help your process too
